Bethesda Actually Hates New Vegas [Video]

If you want premium developer drama from the giants, you really want to watch this video. It has been said that Bethesda has been jealous of Obsidian’s success in Fallout: New Vegas, thanks to it outshining their own creation, Fallout 3. In this video, YouTuber Ninethie Plays goes over what has been said and compiles it with commentary in one damning video. Thumbs up to Avellone for going all out and burning the old bridges. ATOM RPG 2 – Kickstarter launched!

The boys at Atom Team are at it again, this time with a Kickstarter for ATOM RPG 2. The game looks to be turn-based still, with the same recognizable visual style as the other titles in the series—but with a few clear changes. A third-person camera seems to be an option now, and, of course, the damn driving! I approve.

I pledged 19 euros for the Caspian Wastelander tier. So now, the waiting begins for another RPG set in an apocalyptic world drenched in eastern flair. Check out the trailer below, and the Kickstarter page here!

WarCraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans – Green and Mean [Review]

After many years of indecision, it was finally time to try the unreleased version of WarCraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans. It’s one of the games that made my Top 10 Saddest Game Cancellations, but it’s part of a rarity of cancelled games that’s actually playable with a complete story—thanks to having its beta leaked. The ever great modders and tinkerers of the PC gaming scene have restored it to a playable version, which is how I now got to ultimately play it. So, is it a long-lost tragedy that should have been released, or was it the right decision by Blizzard to drop it? Read and find out!

REPLACED is out!

REPLACED was just released on Gog and Steam, in which I bought a copy on Steam. I wasn’t entirely sure at first, but I figured I needed some dystopian cyberpunk in my life—and well, I enjoyed the demo. I have been playing for about two hours by now, and my first impression is positive. It seems to be a well-defined cyberpunk world set in the 80s—and the story has that conspiratorial vibe that I love.

Who knows if the story will hold up until the end, but so far it has been intriguing. The visuals are spectacular for a 2D platformer, leaning hard into Blade Runner -esque aesthetics. The gameplay, the jumping and the free-form combat is fun as well, and I can only assume it will become more and more difficult to survive the brawling of death. You will find the release trailer below!
