Put on your best space boots, because we are in for a walking-sim on Mars. Fort Solis can best be described as an extremely cinematic Telltale-type of game, with even less gameplay, but arguably better presentation. I don’t mind the occasional walking sim if the story is good—so the question stands: Is Fort Solis worth it?

Welcome to Paradox Interactive’s attempt at a Xcom-like turn-based tactical game in the form of The Lamplighters League. While it does not live up the legacy it was aiming for, I did find it enjoyable periodically, albeit a tad grindy. In this alternative 1930s world of earth, every kind of pulp fiction exoticism has been thrown in for good measure. Everything from the spirit world of ghosts and walking skeletons to monsters of the depth out to feast, Cthulhu style. Don’t worry, there are Nazi type regular human soldiers to shoot up too. In other words: there’s a whole damn smörgåsbord of critters and ancient horrors waiting to devour your soul!

It’s time to return to sunny and plagas infected Spain. So, suit up and arm yourself with the best weapons available! Separate Ways is a ten-euro DLC/expansion for Resident Evil 4, and honestly, for that price, I thought it was going to be a cheap cash grab, but boy, I was entirely wrong. Positively surprised by AAA gaming in these apocalyptic days? Yes, apparently, it is still possible.

Welcome to the beautiful country of Spain. Here you will never go cold, as Spain is the country of the sun! To make sure your vacation here will be one to remember, don’t for any reason anger the locales. They do not like outsiders much. If by any chance this happens, be sure to keep a health-spray handy, and run like hell unless you want to get uncomfortable close to the Las Plagas. And you don’t want that!
Resident Evil 4 (remake) is one of the better remakes that has been made and does not feel like a pure cash grab on our dear nostalgia. However, even if I enjoyed it, I can’t help to feel that in the end, it’s just a huge waste of time narrative-wise – as the franchise treads water in the same old murky pool that we already have splashed around in for years. Regardless, it’s a fun well-made game, with a few niggling issues that stand out from the original. Let’s see what it is all about.

Abscission is an atmospheric Lovecraftian murder mystery with the flavor of film noir detective elements sprinkled on top. Sounds good, right? Well, to a degree it is, at least in the beginning, but sadly the pacing of the game changes for the worse rather quickly. In its favor though, the mystery remains intriguing throughout.
