Dverghold – Early Access Release Date [Trailer]

Back in February this year, I gave the Dverghold demo a go and found it very appealing in both gameplay/mechanics and retro visual style. In other words: it was something to look forward to—if you enjoy blobbers, that is. And now a release date has been announced, which is closer than I expected: July 22, 2026. It comes with one drawback, though—an Early Access release.

It will be released in an unfinished state, but it will contain Chapter 1 of the story. I just hope it’s a success so we actually get to see the completion of the game—because EA, in the context of an indie developer, is truly a double-edged sword for early adopters. But I believe in Kvltgames!

Xenonauts 2 – Release date set!

Finally, Xenonauts 2 has a set release date and will be this year: 2nd of April, to be exact. So, not far off at all—less than a month, actually. I hope it’s a great financial success, since if it is, expansions will be worked on. Don’t quote me on that, though, as it’s anecdotal at best. But I can swear I read Chris (main dev) mentioning it in a forum post about the future of the game. I’m really curious what an expansion would look like, so please: buy the game in droves, people! The 1.0 trailer is also out, watch it after the click.

Gothic 1 Remake – A release date, finally [Trailer]

Finally, we get a release date for the Gothic 1 Remake, which will be the 5th of June. I wouldn’t say it’s close, but I’m almost certain it will be a great summer RPG. Something to sit down and play while dodging the unbearable anti-gamer heat. They released a trailer for this occasion, where we can see that they have fixed the controversy by making Gomez’s ladies hot again. This can be spotted at 1:28 minutes into the trailer. Overall, it’s a nice trailer that sets the mood, but I’m a bit worried if my system can run it at 60 FPS without melting the GPU. Trailer after the jump!

Mars Tactics – New trailer and Release Date!

Ah, Mars Tactics, one of those high-potential games I played at random during one of Steam’s Next Fest demo parties. Yeah, let’s see—yes, all the way back in 2023. Well, I’m happy to announce progress has been made since. Lots of work has gone into the strategic map, and the turn-based combat itself, as you can see in the trailer provided down below.

What’s most interesting here, beyond the new tidbits of gameplay shown (that robot!), is that a release date has been set. This comes with both good and bad news. The good: release is in May 2026. So, a while out, but not overwhelmingly so. The bad: it’s an Early Access title. And with that, I can only suspect that the complete package won’t arrive until 2027 or something like that. But hey, at least we are getting a taste, because the turn-based combat was fun in the demo, and the setting is very cool—which reminds me of the faction wars in Total Recall. Kuato lives! Check the trailer after the jump, as usual.
