Today is a busy day, since the personally hyped turn-based Xcom-like Star Wars: Zero Company is being released. I have avoided reading and watching reviews, as I don’t want anything spoiled, but at a glance, things are looking good. The only definite sad thing I know about the release is that the devs will not support mods officially, which is a baffling decision considering the genre. We will see how that turns out, but it probably means they have a lot of DLCs they want to sell down the line. I just hope it’s gameplay and story stuff and not only a cosmetic onslaught—if that is the case. The second release is…
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2, and that is purely because Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will now be released for PC after many years trapped on the PS3. It’s a game I have never played, so I’m very excited to finally get to try it. I have heard that it has hours of cutscenes, so I have to prepare for that! The package also includes Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, which was a Metal Gear game released for the Game Boy. It actually looks very interesting in a retro way, with simplified controls and stealth. That could be fun to try, between the exposition-heavy cutscenes.
Today is a good day to be a PC gamer!
