Solasta 2 – Demo Impressions

Tactical Adventures recently released a demo for Solasta 2, and being a fan of their first game, Solasta: Crown of the Magister, I couldn’t help but throw myself over the demo. Vampire Syndicate: The combat

The solo developer behind Vampire Syndicate recently released a video about the turn-based combat it will use. It will use a modern Xcom control scheme, meaning it leans more into abstraction than being realistic with simulated projectiles and the like. Solasta 2 – We are pretty now!

One of the critiques for Solasta: Crown of the Magister was how “ugly” the characters were for the game. Everyone from random NPCs and important plot related characters to your custom-made dungeon crawler crew. It didn’t bother me too much considering it’s a  top-down-tactical experience, even if I admit they could look a bit funky at times. Especially everything connected to hair, specifically beards. This is now fixed, as a result of the engine switch (Unity to Unreal 5), I would assume.
