Star Wars: Bounty Hunter – Jango’s Adventures

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is a remaster of an old PlayStation 2 game, which I did not play back in the day. This means that my review will be purely based on my experience with the remaster on PC. My first impressions is that this a damn fun game that makes you feel like one of the legendary bounty hunters from the Star Wars universe. However, as with almost every game, fun is only allowed in small quantities mandated by publishers and probably the state. Jokes aside. While Star Wars: Bounty Hunter begins excellently, it starts to show some serious cracks in its design after a few hours of gaming, disappointingly enough that it affects the whole feel of the game in retrospect.

Star Wars: Republic Commando – Are you clone enough?

Welcome to the Republic soldier! It seems your clone is a step above the rest. Don’t ask me to explain it, considering you are all clones of the same guy, but anyway. You will be part of Delta Squad. A super heavy commando unit, equipped for anything, both mentally, and equipment-wise. So, suit up and join the rest of your team! If you always wanted to terminate droids and Trandoshans with extreme prejudice, install Star Wars: Republic Commando now, because this is what you will be doing for the next ten hours – in fairly entertaining ways, must be added.

Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge of the Sith – It’s Anakin Time

In my yearly Star Wars bender, I decided I wanted to play a game set in the prequel era. It’s unfortunately rather slim picking when it comes to this period if you want to play something new. However, I manage to find Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge of the Sith for the PlayStation 2. It’s a direct tie-in game to the movie that goes under the same name. It was with a certain hesitation that I downloaded it as we know all too well how these kinds of titles end up. But hey, what do I get to lose, anyway? Well, as it turns out only valuable gaming time, taking me one step closer to death with nothing gained. I should have trusted the force when it told me something dark awaited me.

Star Wars Battlefront II – Return to Mission Area!

This will be a review of the Main Story (yes, it’s called that) and the campaign Resurrection, which was added in a free patch. I have tried multiplayer before, but it’s just not for me. It’s too brain-dead and simple, so the focus will be on the two campaigns that came with the game. Star Wars Battlefront II starts in the Imperial age and lasts up to the god-awful First Order trilogy. You know the one, it has the discount emo Vader in the form of Kylo Ren.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor – Master of Parkour

In my Quick Impressions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, I wasn’t very impressed by the game, but I went back in and to my surprise, I started to enjoy myself… a bit at least. The things I brought up in that post still stand, though. Actually, things get worse from that point on. It becomes even more “anime” and absurd, with the addition of another problem: a disconnect from story to gameplay, and vice versa. The story and cut-scenes are presented rather realistic within the setting, however, the gameplay turns crazier and crazier the further you get into the story. Hence the disconnect, and to me this is usually immersion shattering, especially when cut-scenes dictate how my character acts. Like when taking a wound, but just moments before I could eat blaster fire all day. The game is filled with issues like this, and this is on top of the things I already mentioned in my quick impressions.
