Hurray, Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy is out! However, only in Early Access. It’s planned to stay in EA for about 1-1,5 years, so it’s unfortunately pretty far from being finished. What’s here already, is certainly top-tier, and plays into what I love about RPGs splendidly. Especially, if you are like me and enjoy the more low-key approach to adventuring: think early levels of the first Baldur’s Gate.

I like Indiana Jones as much as the next guy, well, the first three films at least. So, it was with some excitement that I started Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Game Pass. In my first ten or so hours, I would say; it’s a pleasant surprise. It runs well enough, too, and looks good (for the most part). However, if I set the ray tracing to anything above low, or perhaps medium, the FPS tanks. Not too surprising, maybe, since I’m only on a 3070 GPU. All in all, the game feels like a modern 3D version of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Deus Ex: Icarus Effect is a book that has been haunting my reading dreams for years. But finally, I found it for a reasonable price in a second-hand store. It’s a prequel to the excellent game Deus Ex: Human Revolution, that takes place before, and during the events of the game. So, was it worth the wait? Yes, absolutely, seeing as the story from a stand-alone viewpoint is already good with interesting characters and plot. However, the main pull is the world-building and additional lore to the Deus Ex franchise. On that note, it’s excellent, and I would almost consider it a mandatory read, if you, like me, love the mythos of the series and want to know more about the mysterious men and women in it.
