Stygian Software released a pretty hefty video from their upcoming sewer crawling apocalyptic RPG Underrail 2: Infusion the other day. And I thought I would share it here, because it is certainly something to keep an eye on. Beyond the cool & soothing isometric camera angle, the environments, and the lighting, it looks great. A solid upgrade from Underrail.

Merry Christmas to me, because I just finished Xenonauts 2 after countless restarts (thanks to the ending not being part of the game, yet). Well, now we are here. While the experience was not perfect, thanks to unfinished lore bits in the form of research, and having random crashes, I had a pretty good time. However, it’s not without problems; mainly, the campaign is still incredibly short, which has been my worry for a while. According to my end game stats, the campaign was completed in under 20 hours. Not exactly epic now, is it?

We are back to the hellscape of Klendathu in Starship Troopers: Terran Command – to kill or to be killed by the bugs. This, in the form of a free addition called Territory Mode. It’s in Open Beta currently, so anyone that owns the game on Steam can give it a go. That is what I did.

I was hoping, and even told that the Early Access version of Menace was coming out this year. However, that was not to be. What really surprised me with the delay, is that the EA release has been put all the way up to fall, next year. Now, that’s a hefty holdup. I’m sure the developers got their reason, but I can’t help to speculate. Too big of a project, coming from the semi-small project Battle Brothers? Going from 2D to 3D too much of a hassle? Stuck in programming hell, or is everything perhaps progressing fine, but the team wants more for the EA version?

If we go by Steam, Deus Ex: The Fall is not a popular game. I wouldn’t be surprised if you found its name next to “disliked” in the dictionary. However, that was then, and while it seems it had a disastrous release on Steam—nowadays, it plays fairly well, and looks a lot like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, albeit visually limited with restrictions to the gameplay. This is because of its origin as a mobile/tablet game, which speaks for itself. Even if I didn’t outright dislike or hate the game like most people, it does have some problems, making it questionable if it’s even worth playing. Let me explain.
