ATOM RPG 2 [Trailer]

The Atom Team, the developers behind the recently released RPG Swordhaven sure is a busy bunch! Now they are working on ATOM RPG 2, with an announcement teaser already completed. I know very little about the game, but curiously, I think it might go from a top-down perspective to either third or first-person going by a random video teased on X (twitter)—both of which you can watch there after the jump. Make sure to check them out and don’t forget to add ATOM RPG 2 to your Steam wishlist. A hardworking team like this deserves the recognition.

Fallout Operation: Sunburst [Film]

The Fallout franchise once again invites us to watch a fan-made film, made by YouTuber SODAZ. What is cool about Fallout Operation: Sunburst, is that it takes a fascinating event (Battle for HELIOS One) from Fallout: New Vegas that you just heard about and makes a whole war movie out of it. In-game, and lore-wise, it’s a pivotal incident that formed the fate of New Vegas—so it was a pure pleasure to experience this historical event from a gaming perspective. Check out the awesome film after the click, just make sure you prepare yourself for total carnage!

Fallout: Invasion Of New Vegas [Film]

Yep, time for another movie watch. So, let us travel to the Mojave in Fallout: Invasion Of New Vegas, which is a non-canonical fan-film by DINZHI that depicts the theoretical story continuation of an NCR victory in Fallout: New Vegas. The film doesn’t exactly have a clear protagonist to follow, as it’s more of a war movie, if the Brotherhood of Steel were to invade after the NCR takes the dam. It’s one brutal skirmish after another, with pretty entertaining battle scenes made in Blender and the Unreal 5 engine

Space Scum – Playtest Impression

I got invited to the playtest of Space Scum over Steam and after about two hours of destroying lizard mutants in the desert, I’m ready to give my initial thoughts. But first, it must be said that this version of the game is in a really early alpha stage, filled with bugs a-plenty, and a somewhat stunted AI (according to the devs themselves). However, even for feeling a tad spartan, especially in flair and lore, it shows potential for a nice Battle Brothers romp.

Fallout: Bakersfield Trailer

Spotted this over at RPG Codex. It’s a total conversion of Doom from 1993, to, yeah, you know it: Fallout. What makes this stand out is that the creator has taken the bleak atmosphere from the first game, and essentially remade it into a first-person experience called Fallout: Bakersfield. So no happy-go-lucky 1950s aesthetics a la Bethesda here. It’s a pure apocalyptic wasteland hellscape that has more of a horror mood than anything else. The trailer, which you can see below, is awesome, and seems to indicate that it will be a mix between RPG elements and pure shooting. Two big thumbs up for the “Ry Cooder esque” guitar licks about one minute into the video.
