Baldur’s Gate 3 – Additional Topics to Discuss

Welcome to yet another Baldur’s Gate 3 article – are you fed up yet? If not, in this post, I will talk about some additional stuff that I left out in my review – mostly because of space, and to be honest, some things I came to think about after it was written. There won’t be too much about the story here, however, I will talk about it, especially the ending – so here comes the spoiler warning. It will mostly be about the game mechanics and things of that nature that I think should be mentioned.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – If Michael Bay made an RPG

It’s time to finally review this mastodon of a game after giving it around 150 hours on one-and-a-half playthroughs. For the most part, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a fine addition to the CRPG genre, and Dungeons & Dragons games overall. However, it’s not without issues, and issues it has aplenty. This rest on more than just gameplay and story, unfortunately, since there is a lot of polarizing content in it that takes the form of the current progressive zeitgeist. Baldur’s Gate 3 – Further Impressions

Baldur’s Gate 3 is if nothing else a roller coaster ride. After almost 60 hours of playtime now it does still hold up in many ways, but some of the writing is just terrible, and then I mean the focus on everything having to be sexual. Baldur’s Gate 3 – Very Early Impressions

Like many others, I sat ready to play on release day with two main differences. I never really got caught up in the hype even if I was now eager to try it out, and I won my copy of Baldur’s Gate 3 (by luck), which removes the monetary investment from the equation. I think the money transfer clouds our judgment, I know it does for me sometimes. AAA games are expensive, especially nowadays. Can a game that cost this much and has been this hyped by bad? I must be playing it wrong – type of deal.

A few issues I have with Baldur’s Gate 3

Another interesting game closing in for release, and unlike the years before, this year might actually turn out good for gamers! Like many others, I’m looking forward to Baldur’s Gate 3’s release, which will be on Aug 31, 2023, for PC users. However, from playing it (just a little), and reading about it, it does have some issues that I think might affect the general enjoyment. This is all highly subjective of course, what bothers me, might not bother you, yet, I think it could be worth an article.
