July, the month of releases for some reason. This will just be a quick post as a reminder that, apparently, you don’t have to sit indoors and do nothing but pour cold liquid down your gullet and survive in the sweltering heat. You can actually play a couple of new titles, while your skin melts off your body. Two RPGs, one X-com-lite, and one adventure game to pick from. So, some cooked skeleton gaming, anyone?
The releases:
Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition
This is for when you want to re-experience Obsidian Entertainment’s glory of the past. A time when they actually gave a damn about the fantasy setting, and didn’t compete in being the most pretentious writers in the industry. (€28,99).
Future War Tactics: SOF vs. Alien Invasion
Here we got alien blasting in a classic turn-based sense. Not feeling the RPGs? Well, it can’t be more straight-forward than this as an alternative. Extraterrestrial bastards attack Siberia, and now need to be punished! This is a cheap one, too. 40% off until 31 July. (€5,85).
The Necromancer’s Tale
Now we are talking. This is an RPG where you play as a fledgling necromancer. Will you go full evil Lich, or use your powers for good? I know what I will be doing. Turn-based tactics, with the proven top-down camera. 10% off until 27 July. (€21,59).
The Drifter
If you are the outdoorsy type, but still wants to stay indoors. Then what is better than a retro-looking adventure game about a hobo and dark conspiracies that will probably end your current existence as is. 15% off until 31 July. (€16,57).
I usually don’t make these posts, but I’m a bit surprised over these releases, considering it’s the summer months. The great weather even drags me, the sun-avoiding troll, outside for long cozy walks!
