Who is Tom?
I’m a 40+ gaming enthusiast who got the idea that the world needs another blog. Mad? Most certainly, but here we are!
My interest in games started on my mom and dad’s Atari back in the day, and since then PC & video games have been a huge part of my life, and my main form of entertainment, beyond reading and films. I still remember the day when I got my brother’s old 386 PC. It wasn’t much, not even at the time. But being able to suddenly play titles such as Wolfenstein 3D and Doom was mind-bending for my tiny brain. I mostly gamed on PC and Amiga back then, yet I have bought a few consoles during the years for exclusives.
I have nothing against consoles per se – unlike many PC users, in some genres, I prefer a controller over a mouse and keyboard. However, I do recognize that the popularity of consoles has dumbed down the industry, but that’s for another time. I’m hoping gaming will be part of my life until I no longer walk on this green earth, but that all depends on the industry at large. You can say that the gaming sphere has had its ups and downs. Currently, the indie scene dominates my time in front of the computer.

Purpose of the site
The blog is dedicated to Pc & Video games. I reserve the right to write about whatever I want if it comes to that, though. My favorite genres are turn-based tactics, RPGs, strategy games, and survival horror, but I’m willing to try out most things. I also want to mention that nothing here has been written or drawn by an AI. Everything comes from the noggin upstairs, for both good and bad! The main purpose of the site is to create a memento of all the games I have played. The general rule I have set for myself is that games I complete must get a review. When it comes to titles that fall apart earlier than the end – anything goes! I hope you will find some of my musings entertaining. So, welcome.
PS. I used to write in Swedish, which is why things before 2022 are in that language. Now making a return in ‘the year of the nukes’ I’ve decided to try my luck in English!
Also, I want to emphasize that I’m not a professional writer in any capacity. I’m here just to vent and muse about games, so there might be grammar and spelling mistakes. I do, of course, correct errors as much as I possibly can!
